Both My Anti-lock Restriction Light And Trac-off Lights On My Dash Are On, But Im Having No Brake Issues Squeeling Or Rubbing Noises But Every Blueish Moon My The Anti-lock Brake Calorie-free Clears Just Then Subsequently When I Get To Restriction The Brakes Work But The Brake Pedal Makes A Buzzing Noise Like Its Resetting Or Something.... Need Help

My 2000 Bucik Century just started doing the same affair. The anti lock brake light and trac light is on along with the service engine presently light.
I was driving to the airport and they simply came on....the auto seems to exist running fine ...

sounds like a problem with the EBCM. Stupid question, how the brake fluid level?

I had a similar trouble on an Olds - a front end hub needed replacement since the speed sensor was shot. The sensors are needed to compare wheel rotation speed for the ABS and traction control. When the sensor is shot the control module thinks there is a problem and the warning lights come up on. Y'all can still drive & brake but ABS and traction command don't piece of work.

I just fixed this on my 02 century. This model had a trouble with wires breaking inside the wiring harness going to the right bicycle speed sensor. My abs light would come on for a while, then would all of a sudden go out until I hit the brake, when it would buzz and yous would feel a niggling pulsating in the brake pedal. The cause is that the broken wire volition occassionally make connexion, and the lite will leave, then information technology seperates again, and the light comes on again.
The prepare is to supercede the harness section, but unfortunately it is non as simple as unplugging the old one and plugging in the new one. The two wires must be cut and the new harness soldered in. Some companies that produce these replacement harnesses may supply crimp on connectors, only I would not recommend using them as eventually the connections will oxidize and loose connectedness once again.
The harness toll me $45.00 at the auto parts store, and was special ordered, and I received it in two days. The Garage that I become to occassionally wanted $450.00 for the repair.
Overall time it took me to practice the job was 25 minutes.

I had a similar trouble with my 2000 century. Had the hub replaced and less than a week afterwards, the lights came back on. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Kimo - possibly the other side this fourth dimension? Were both sides done at the aforementioned time? Maybe a bad connector or wire?

1994 Buick Centry v6. My center restriction light burned out and I did not notice information technology. The curise controll stopped working and the Anti-lock Brake Light And Trac-off Lights came on. I trouble shoot for long fourth dimension before somebody checked the restriction lights. In one case the center restriction light seedling was replaced, all was normal over again.

NF Ortin 198- That is exactly what my 03 century was doing. I had the hub and wiring harness changed nearly 2 years ago and haven't had any more problems until at present. I had another hub inverse but information technology didn't end the trouble this time. I don't know which side they inverse two years agone. I'thousand going to cheque the wiring harnesses. My car but does it if y'all turn the steering wheel sharply to the left or correct.

got mine fixed...$200 plus worth of fix.
Turned out in my example to be an actuator(spelling?) and something to do with a brake switch.Lights are off ..the i involved in the shifting and the anti lock etc are all meliorate...I am glad to be here with others who are or take experienced the same problems..at least I know I am not alone and can larn so a mechanic doesn't accept advantage of me.

Where was this "wiring harness" located in the motorcar?
This harness runs between the main engine comparment harness, along the frame, across the lower A-arm to the sensor/hub assembly.

Does anyone have a movie or diagram of where this goofy wire connects in the engine bay ? Seems like you could set up this with some solder and 4 dollars worth of sixteen gauge wire.

Ok, 2001 century, nuance lights on. Came here, checked all the stuff. I have a port reader app chosen Torque. Plugged in the bluetooth port scanner, and read the cycle speed sensors. All 4 bear witness to exist reading, simply the reading is i/two the actual travel speed. Did a fault code scan, nil showed up. What would crusade that?

I have a 1998 Buick Majestic one mean solar day my anti-lock, service engine soon, and track off light came on and when I applied my brakes it would catch and jerk back. So I had someone to await at it and they told me my back brake pads needed to exist replace. Then we replaced both front and dorsum pads and rotors. I drove it for a couple weeks and collection fine no problem. Then i day I went to the bank and was getting set up to pull out of the parking lot and information technology did the same matter just similar the first time. Brakes grabbed and jerk back. I was afraid to drive the automobile and then a few days later the lights went back on. Went a long while with light not coming on and only coming domicile it did it again. Can you tell me why this happening? So after I got new brake pads and rotors on the lights shouldn't come on. Then I need help and volition it hurt me driving the car ? Will it cause me any problems?

My 2000 century has all the same Lights, information technology will be fine for a bit, so pop on. And so off. A car cut me off and I applied the brakes harder and I locked up and my car started sliding to the right and I heard a screech. Should i not drive until it is fixed? and how practice you notice this harness to see if information technology has become unplugged?all these issues is normally considering the wiring harness came unplugged for the abs system
